Review of 2023-24 activity

2023-24 has been a time of exciting growth and development for Liquid Listening, with a significant increase in demand for our work.  Highlights of the year included:

  • We trained or gave refresher training to 102 staff at SEN/D schools, an increase of 45% from 2022-23.

  • Our work benefited 1982 pupils in SEN/D schools, an increased of 46% from 2022-23.

  • We welcomed 6 new SEN/D schools into our membership scheme and gave support and refresher training to 5 further schools.

  • We delivered a Music Creation project in two schools where Musical Hydrotherapy is already part of the curriculum, allowing 35 children to listen to music they had created themselves in the pool - an increase of 77% on 2022-23.

  • We ran our first Musical Hydrotherapy training courses for individual swimming teachers and practitioners.
